A Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and registered with COREN, Engr. Akinola had his first degree in 1981 in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, before proceeding to the UK in 1984 to obtain Master’s degree in Civil Engineering majoring in Engineering Hydrology, on study leave from the Water Corporation of Oyo State.
Due to his drive for greater professionalism, he joined OSOT Associates, a firm of indigenous Consulting Engineers in 1989 and handled as the Project Manager, the AfDB-financed Ibadan Long Term Water Supply Project. In 1995 he co-founded a consulting engineering outfit, FAITHLINE Ltd, and has been fully responsible for all the Water Resources Engineering Projects of the firm under various funding arrangements, such as World Bank, EU, BADEA, IsDB.
