As professional engineer, Malani founded the first women owned and led civil engineering consultancy in South Africa which recently celebrated 25 years. With the acquisition of the Mott MacDonald Africa infrastructure consultancy operations in South Africa, she has positioned the Group to enhance their service offering.
She has served on various industry related boards as well as subcommittees. As signatory to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles, and as member of the BRICS Women in Business Alliance Committee she continues to advocate for inclusion of women.
She is committed to employment creation as well applying circular economy principles and catalytic interventions in an inclusive manner. She is also the mother of three young adults (including a set of twins) and an instrument of change in various communities in the country
