Biography - Serge Dal Busco, member of the Christian Democratic Party (PDC), has been a State Councilor for the canton of Geneva since 10 December 2013. In charge of the infrastructure department, he has also chaired the Council of State since 1 June 2021. After obtaining a degree in civil engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (EPFZ) and a doctorate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), he practiced as an engineer, then became a partner in a large office of consulting engineers in civil engineering and the environment. At the political level, he sat on the municipal council of Bernex before being elected to the administrative council of this city, where he exercised the function of mayor six times. He chaired the Association of Geneva municipalities for several years. In 2009, he was elected to the Grand Council of the canton of Geneva, where he sat until his election to the Council of State.
