Linda Darr is President & CEO of the American Council of Engineering Companies. Linda is a veteran lobbyist, transportation policy expert, and association leader. Her 30 + year career has included leadership roles in 5 trade associations working as an expert on matters ranging from trade and transportation policy to infrastructure investment and economic development. In addition to her current role, Linda has served as CEO of trade associations representing the railroad industry and the moving and storage industry and, earlier in her career, she advocated for the trucking and the motorcoach industry at the American Trucking Association and later at the American Bus Association. Linda was also appointed by President Clinton to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of Transportation where she oversaw the budget for the FAA, FHWA, FRA, the US Coast Guard and numerous other agencies within the department. Linda serves on the Board of the University of Denver Transportation Institute, the Bryce Harlow Foundation, and Key Industry Associations Committee of ASAE, and the US Chamber’s Committee of 100 top associations executives. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, is a mother of three awesome kids and she lives in Alexandria, VA.
