Rajiv has over four decades of experience in academia, international public policy, private equity and corporate and retail banking. His expertise spans infrastructure and climate finance, sustainable and impact investing, microfinance, capital markets, and public policy research. He was Founder CEO of IDFC Bank in India, and served in various positions, at the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Warburg Pincus. He was Co-Founder of Lok Capital, a pioneering impact equity fund manager from India.

He is Founding Partner of Mondiale Impact, an initiative to support boards confront the challenges of climate and impact governance, Co-Founder of Artha Global, a public policy focussed think-do tank, Chair of CoST, a DFID launched global platform for cost-benchmarking and transparency in infrastructure projects, and Chair of the Jagriti Bioregional Centre of Excellence, devoted to developing strategies and projects in support of district level sustainable development in Uttaranchal. He is based at Singapore Management University, where he is Professorial Research Fellow serving on the Management Committee of the Singapore Green Finance Centre and focusing on research/training relating to climate finance across South and South-East Asia.
