Denis Serkin, a partner and chair of the International Practice at Peckar & Abramson, provides guidance to clients involved in various construction projects. These projects include power and energy generation, pipelines, general infrastructure, and commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities. Denis has extensive experience in resolving disputes both internationally and domestically through arbitration and litigation in U.S. federal and state courts. In addition to his dispute resolution expertise, Denis assists clients in drafting and negotiating construction agreements using both custom and industry-standard forms. He also shares his knowledge as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University’s Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, where he teaches a course on Prevention and Resolution of Construction Disputes. Denis has guest lectured at the University of Stuttgart and has supervised several students at that university in preparing and defending their theses. Before starting his legal career, Denis served as a project engineer at a government agency, overseeing numerous projects from design and procurement to construction.
