Mahendren Manicum is professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa, with experience in both the public and private sectors, specialising in Pavement Engineering. He is also an expert in designing and executing transformational engineering programmes that maximise socioeconomic impact having led major poverty alleviation programmes whilst with the KZN-DOT. Promoted to Managing Director of Naidu Consulting (NC) in 2013, Mahendren has led the expansion of the company to 250 staff with offices in Durban, Pretoria, East London and Cape Town. Under his leadership NC has won the CESA Business Excellence awards in 2020 and 2022. Mahendren’ s contribution to advancing sustainable pavement engineering technology resulted in him receiving honorary Fellow memberships at both SAICE and SAT, and he is currently the chairperson of CAPSA 2023.
