André Schneider started out as a professional musician in major classical orchestras, and continued his career as a doctor of computer science with IBM. He then broadened his experience by joining the World Economic Forum (WEF). With his consultancy, André soon created projects in the field of sustainable development. After this, André joined the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne for three years as Vice President for Resources and Infrastructure. Since 1 September 2016, André has joined Geneva Airport as CEO. André is also President of the Swiss International Airports Association; Chairman of the Innovation Board of the Aviation Research Centre Switzerland; Member of the Board of Airports Council International Europe, Chairman of the World Climate Foundation, a platform for the development of a green economy; Chairman of equal-salary, an organisation that offers equal pay certification for women and men; and Vice President of Global Infrastructure Basel.
