Silmara De Assis E Silva joined the Egis group in 2014. She has over twenty-nine years of experience across technical and commercial work in the field of engineering and construction in Infrastructure with a special focus on Oil & Gas and Public Transport Projects.
A strong experience in international environment being expatriated in 27 countries, 2 years in Eastern Europe, 7 years in Islamic Countries and several successful other experiences in the Engineering sector, International Mega projects management in all contract modes: EPC, EPCM and PMC.
One of their most emblematic projects is having led for 6 years (2009-2014) the PMO (Project Management Office) of Turkey's first High-Speed Train (TAV), which connects the country's capital on the Asian side with the European continent by crossing under the Bosporus Strait.
Prize ANCI (National Association of Independent Contractors) to the 2nd best (Accésit) PhD thesis of 2005.
Teacher in the Madrid Official Engineers College concerning Tunnels and Underground Works, since 2005 until now.
Author of a number of Publications and Lectures about Tunnels, Soil Reinforcement, Bus Rapid Transit, Public Transport (Highways, Subway, Metro elevated, HST, Conventional Train) and Soil Numerical Modelling in different countries.
