Jim Maclure.

Jim is a chartered Civil Engineer, and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, with an honours degree in Civil Engineering, and MSc in Structures from Manchester University.

Jim has over 45-years’ experience working with contractors and consulting engineers in the UK and abroad, in various different roles including site agent, project manager, engineer, and technical manager on major infrastructure and building development projects, including hydro power, tunnels, dams, roads, water supply and sewage treatment.

In September 2014 Jim was invited to join the specialist Tunnelling Contract Working Group, TG10, which was jointly tasked by FIDIC and ITA-AITES to draft the new FIDIC Emerald Book Conditions Contract for Underground Works, the 1st Edition of which was published in May 2019. Now, as an accredited trainer with ECV Ltd, Jim has given FIDIC training courses worldwide. He is now retired but still active as an Independent Consultant and trainer.
