Julie is a UK trained lawyer who worked for over 20 years for the UK Government’s environmental regulators, the Environment Agency and then Natural England. At Natural England she was part of the senior management team reporting to the Board and liaising with senior civil servants and Government Ministers. Her experience includes leading on a wide range of commercial, environmental and sustainability issues often of a national interest.
In 2020 Julie joined the procurement team at the World Bank as a consultant where, most recently, she has been involved in the Bank’s roll out of the wider use of rated criteria for international procurements, the development of the Bank’s sustainable procurement policy and is currently leading a project developing procurement tools to help the Bank’s clients achieve net zero.
