John is a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator, practicing as a Dispute Board Chairman or Member, International Arbitrator, Mediator and Expert. His working life of 55 years has taken him to Africa, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. He has worked on projects in oil and gas, civil, marine, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and nuclear engineering as well as building.
He is currently Patron of the UK Western Counties Branch of the CIArb and is a member of the DRBF, the Adjudication Society, the Society of Construction Law and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators. He was the last President of the RICS QS Division and its First Construction Faculty Chairman and served as General Secretary of the European Council of Construction Economists.
