Matthias has an M.Sc. in civil engineering from ETH Zurich and over 35 years experience in international contracting and infrastructure construction. As an ITA delegate, he chaired the joint FIDIC-ITA Task Group 10 that drafted the Emerald Book. He is the founder and MD of Neuenschwander Consulting Engineers Ltd. (www.neu-ce.ch), providing technical and contractual advice, as well as dispute avoidance and resolution in large infrastructure projects around the globe. Matthias currently serves as the Animateur of the ITA Working Group 3 "Contractual Practices", and on the Steering Boards of Swiss International Experts and of the Emerald Book. He is also a member of TG10 Tunnel Contracts Association (www.tunnelcontracts.org).
