Dr Charrett (FCIArb) is a Barrister and practises in construction law as an Arbitrator, Expert Determiner, Mediator, Member of Dispute Boards and facilitator of expert conferences. He is a member of the FIDIC President’s List of Adjudicators.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked as an engineer for over 30 years.
Dr Charrett has published widely and presented numerous conference papers and training courses on FIDIC contracts and other construction law topics. He is the Series Editor of Practical Legal Guides for Construction and Technology Projects by Routledge, author of "Contracts for Construction and Engineering Projects", editor of "The International Application of FIDIC Contracts", "FIDIC Contracts in Asia Pacific", "FIDICContracts in Europe", "FIDIC Contracts in the Americas", "FIDIC Contracts in Africa and the Middle East ", and joint author of "Contracts for Infrastructure Projects".
