Chris is a Chartered Engineer with 40 years of experience in professional consultancy services and more than 25 years as a CEO and Chairman/Director in the public company environment.
As a founding partner of WSP, he transitioned it from a private to a public company whilst it grew worldwide to 10,000 people by 2012, when it merged with a Canadian public company.
Chris is now Non-Executive Chairman of WSP Global, Inc. listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). WSP represents one of the largest global consultancies in its market with more than 65,000 people, where previously Chris was the CEO of WSP Group plc.
He was non-Executive Chairman of Ashtead Group plc for 12 years until 2018, during which time the Group transformed into a prominent FTSE100 company.
Chris is also Non-Executive Chairman of Applus+, a Spanish public company, providing testing, inspection and certification services worldwide.
