Maria is a Civil Engineer with 23 years of industry experience specialising in asset management, infrastructure investment planning, climate change and decarbonisation in infrastructure. Maria has been providing technical advice on decarbonisation to Governments, Regulators infrastructure asset owners and contractors and their suppliers. Maria has been the lead co-author of PAS 2080 and co-author of the UK HM Treasury Infrastructure Carbon Review. Has significant experience working with infrastructure asset owners and their supply chains to help define their carbon management strategies and embed carbon management into infrastructure delivery programmes of work – in water and other infrastructure sectors. She is a member of the UK Green Construction Board and involved in various Industry Forums to help shape the infrastructure decarbonisation agenda, including the Institution of Civil Engineers Decarbonisation Community Advisory Board. Visiting Lecturer on Sustainability and Low Carbon Practices at Cranfield University and a Member of the Course Industrial Advisory Panel. Maria is also a member of the UK Water Net Zero Expert Panel.
