Rob Arnold is the Sustainability Research Expert at the EDHEC Climate Institute. He is an energy and environment specialist with over 25 years of experience in industry, business, national governments, and international organisations. His expertise lies in developing technology-led decarbonisation and climate adaptation strategies and in deriving value and business opportunities from these. Since joining EDHEC, he has been focusing on how to reduce infrastructure assets’ exposure to carbon and climate risks. Prior to this, Rob worked extensively for the UK Government, developing strategic initiatives to accelerate the deployment of innovative technology in the low-carbon energy, climate mitigation, sustainable industry and clean transport sectors. He has been instrumental in developing the UK’s net-zero energy innovation programme, EU and UN environmental legislation, and multilateral technology development programmes in the EU and OECD.
