Eng. James N. Mwangi is the CEO of Kurrent Technologies Ltd a Consultancy firm that serves East and Central Africa. He has a B. Sc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi. He is a Vice President and Board Member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers(FIDIC). He is a Registered Consulting Engineer, an Accredited Checker and a Washington Accord Assessor with the Engineers Board of Kenya(EBK) He has over 39)years of extensive working experience mainly in the Energy(Power Generation and Distribution, Renewable Energy) and Oil & Gas sectors. He is a Fellow with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya. He is a past Chairman of FIDIC – AFRICA. He is also a Board Member at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA - the Apex voice of the Private Sector in Kenya), a Director at the Petroleum Institute of East Africa, a Past Member of the East Africa Branch Council of the International Project Finance Association and is a Member of the Energy Institute (U.K.). He is a past Chairman of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya (ACEK). He is also a member of the Kenya Institute of Management(KIM). He has membership in other Professional bodies in Kenya and Internationally.
