Speaker Bio
As the NZ Land and Water Leader for Aurecon, I am responsible for bringing together our fantastic engineering and geospatial professionals to partner with our clients and co-create infrastructure and sustainable communities for people to live, work and play. To achieve this, I believe the key is having great relationships with people - our employees and our clients - and creating an environment where we can collectively bring the diversity of skill and perspective to solve complex challenges.

I have a real focus on people and wellbeing - how we live, where we live - and particularly on creating equitable access to water and housing for New Zealanders. I am passionate about increasing diversity into the infrastructure sector, and have recently been appointed as Chair of the Diversity Agenda Accord Steering Committee with a focus initially on increasing senior females and Māori participation in the sector. I believe that bringing the principles of Te Ao Māori into our daily work and interactions can bring better environmental, social and wellbeing outcomes for us all.

I am also passionate about bringing my diverse experience into governance. I became a Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Director in 2022 and have brought my governance experience to my role as previous Chair of NZ Defence Industry Association and now to the Chair of the Diversity Accord Steering Committee, as well as many project governance roles.

I have more than 25 years of experience in delivering urban development and infrastructure projects in New Zealand, focusing on outcomes for clients. My areas of expertise are:
- People Leadership
- Urban land and infrastructure development
- Planning for development, environment and infrastructure
- Land tenure, surveying and strata subdivisions
- Management of diverse consultant teams
- Stakeholder engagement
