Ahmad Makkieh is a renowned electrical and electronic engineer, known for his expertise in the field of DC microgrids and protection. He holds a prestigious Ph.D. in electrical and electronic engineering from Strathclyde University, which has solidified his position as a leading expert in this field.
After completing his Ph.D., Ahmad joined Schneider Electric/DC Systems, where he has been managing and leading complex DC Systems projects in the UK. His deep knowledge and expertise in this area have been instrumental to the success of their DC microgrid projects and have helped position Schneider Electric as a leader in this technology.
In addition to his work at Schneider Electric, Ahmad is also an active member of the professional engineering community. He is a full member of British Standard GEL/50 and IEC LVDC Sys, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
