Mauro Monge holds a double Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Located in Sweden since 2006, Mauro joined Hitachi Energy, at that time ABB Power Grids, in 2008. Author of several granted patents within Voltage Source Converter technology area, he focused in developing and introducing pioneering power electronics solutions such as HVDC, STATCOMs, Static Frequency Converters to Utilities and Industries. Mauro has been working in several technology and sales roles, including development engineering, project management, global R&D management and product management functions. At present, Mauro is Global Product Manager for HVDC Grid Applications at Hitachi Energy, working with customers world-wide to identify suitable solutions supporting the transition toward a sustainable energy system.
