Basma Eissa is Head of Policy, ESG & Sustainability at FIDIC. An economist with 20 years of experience, she specialises in the green economy and sustainable development. As a certified ESG analyst, she integrates sustainable practices into economic and infrastructure frameworks. At FIDIC, Basma leads the organisation’s policy development and thought leadership, producing strategic publications and programmes that promote sustainability across the global infrastructure sector. She also serves as project manager for FIDIC’s Carbon Management Framework (CMF), a flagship initiative to support the sector's decarbonisation goals. Her work spans economic research, policy formulation and strategic analysis. She also manages relationships with global industry stakeholders and international institutions, with a focus on strategic engagement, market intelligence and collaborative initiatives.
