Frederic manages the team responsible for the MCDF programming pipeline. He oversees the coordination with MCDF Implementing Partners on project and program priorities, and the matching of the programming pipeline with resources. He will be developing the medium to long-term strategy of the Financing Facility of the MCDF.
Frederic has over 20 years’ experience in project and program management, with expertise in the energy sector, sustainable urban development, and climate finance. Frederic has worked in China, Mongolia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Prior to joining the MCDF, he was a Principal Climate Finance Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), based in Manila. He also held staff positions as Program Director for Urbanization with GIZ International Services, based in Beijing, and as Senior Energy Specialist with the World Bank based in Washington D.C. and in Beijing.
Frederic is a national of France and Germany. He obtained two graduate law degrees from Paris XI University, a Master's degree in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington D.C., and a Dual Executive MBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University in Singapore/Beijing.
