Stephen qualified with a MEng (Civil Engineering with Management) in 2000 and has over 20-years’ experience in placing professional indemnity insurance (PII) for the construction industry. A Partner at Lockton LLP, he leads the London PII team and acts for Contractors, Engineers and Architects internationally where he has placed PII programmes in excess of £300M, protecting his clients in multiple jurisdictions. He has developed innovative solutions for client’s complex needs including first party liability cover for Alliance contracts and multi-year policies providing extended nuclear and environmental cover. Stephen is a regular speaker in construction PII forums and sits on several construction industry committees reviewing lack of PII cover for façade and fire engineers following the Grenfell tragedy in the UK.
