Omar Moomen is the Director of Ibramar International GmbH & Co. KG, a prominent shipping company based in Hamburg, Germany. With a career spanning 28 years in the shipping industry, Omar has extensive experience in dry cargo chartering, including time charter and voyage charter for bulkers, container vessels, RoRo and tankers. He also specializes in contracting newbuildings and the sale and purchase of vessels. In addition to his role at Ibramar International, Omar drives business development for the IBRAMAR Group's ship agency operations in Egypt and integrates logistics networks for INTERLOG. Omar is actively involved in the maritime community, having served as Chairman of the Hamburg Shipowners’ and Shipbrokers’ Club and the Egyptian German Association in Northern Germany. Born in Hamburg into a shipping family with Egyptian roots, Omar is passionate about Egypt, climate-smart agriculture, carbon sequestration, and desert greening.
