Franziska Hunger as an applied researcher at the Fraunhofer-Chalmers Research Centre (FCC) for Industrial Mathematics (FCC) in Sweden and research co-lead in the Digital Twin Cities Centre in the field of urban modelling and simulations.
She has been working with numerical fluid dynamics for 13 years and received her PhD in the field of simulation of reactive thermo-fluid dynamics. Since 2020 she worked with simulations in the urban environment, looking at wind fields, micro-climate and flooding. With the tools at hand or developed at FCC, Franziska strives to enable and support partners from industry and the public sector in conducting their own detailed digital analyses.
