Biography - Robert is AECOM’s global lead on ESG Advisory. With a career in sustainable development spanning twenty-five years, Robert brings knowledge and expertise to his clients on subjects including: climate action and net zero, the circular economy, nature-based solutions and social value and he has a track record in supporting large infrastructure and regulatory bodies on their sustainability journeys.
Alongside his role at AECOM, Robert is a member of the Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) Advisory Board. He also chairs the EIC Natural Capital Task Force. Robert founded the Major Infrastructure Resource Optimisation Group (est. 2013) and the Scottish Infrastructure Circular Economy Forum (est. 2017) – AECOM’s client collaboration forums on the circular economy. Robert also sits on the London Luton Airport Green Panel – an advisory body to the chief executive.
In June 2020 Robert was appointed Vice Chairman of FIDIC’s (the international federation of consulting engineers) Global Sustainable Development Committee, his first task being to develop FIDIC’s climate charter, which was published in November 2021.
