Mr. Chenjerani Simon Bulukutu Chirwa (Short Simon Chirwa) is qualified Civil Engineer and Public Procurement Specialist. He holds master’s degrees in public Procurement from University of Turin/ITCILO in Italy, Master of Science degree in Public Health Engineering from University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Malawi. He is a certified PPP Professional by APMG international since June 2021. He is a registered Engineer in Malawi and member of Malawi Institute of Purchasing and Supply. He has experience working in over 40 countries in Africa, East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Europe, and America. He has over 30 years’ experience covering diverse areas of engineering, project management and public procurement. For the past 15 years, he has specialized in public procurement with research interests in output based contracting arrangements. He is currently working as Practice Manager for Procurement for Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank based in Washington DC.
