Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE has been FIDIC chief executive since July 2018. Nelson has more than 30 years’ experience in planning, finance, delivery and management of major property and infrastructure investment projects. He has overall responsibility for FIDIC’s global operations. He is also a board member of Transport for London (£10.5bn annual turnover), is a TfL nominee board member of Crossrail Limited, a £14.8bn rail development in London, was appointed to the Board of Connected Places Catapult and has been elected as a Fellow by the Royal Academy of Engineering. Nelson was previously CEO of the UK Association for Consultancy, a post he held for 14 years, during which time he was responsible for the transformation and repositioning of ACE, an association representing the interests of over 450 consultancy and engineering companies.
