Rajiv Maini is the director of the Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI). A civil engineering graduate from IIT Delhi, he is a fellow of several professional institutions, including the Institution of Engineers (India) and is also a member of the Civil Engineering Division Council (CEDC) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). He began his career with Desein Pvt Ltd, a leading consultancy in the power sector, and went on to work with RSA Pvt Ltd, a prominent steel plant consultant. He later joined M/s Tractebel Engineering, a subsidiary of the internationally renowned SUEZ Group, where he rose to become business unit head – energy division, responsible for delivering consultancy services across various international markets. With over four decades of experience in engineering design, project management and infrastructure consultancy, he continues to play a pivotal role in promoting excellence, capacity building and policy advocacy in the consulting engineering sector.
