Description

Following publication in 2017 of the Second Editions of the FIDIC Suite of Contracts (FIDIC Red Book 2017, FIDIC Yellow Book 2017 and FIDIC Silver Book 2017), a number of amendments have been agreed by FIDIC. FIDIC published the first set of amendments as an errata document in December 2018 and this was followed by a second set of amendments of additional errata in the form of a memorandum published in June 2019.  

Since then, FIDIC has conducted a review of the text of the Second Editions, also having regard to a number of comments and queries raised by users, and has identified further amendments to improve these publications. The third set of amendments will be published by FIDIC in November 2022 and become effective from 1 January 2023.  

During the International Contract Users’ Conference in London, FIDIC will launch a reprint of each of the above publications, incorporating improvements and editorial amendments in the text.

Description

This Claims training workshop will bring you the necessary knowledge and insights as to the claim management and dispute resolution provisions under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract, 2017 Edition. There will be interactive sessions on claims management and DAAB procedures and practices, including practical examples, case studies and concluding with a mock DAAB hearing on the subject of the termination of a contract.

Who should attend  

This training workshop is specifically designed for those involved in the administration of FIDIC 2017 Suite of Contracts, either acting as Employer, Engineer, Contractor, consultant/advisor (claim consultant, legal advisor, etc), and wishing to increase their knowledge and benefit from practical insights as to the claim management & dispute resolution mechanisms under FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
