Visa Information

Do You Need a Visa?

Most international travellers require a visa to enter India. Visa eligibility depends on your nationality. To check your specific requirements and eligibility for an e-Conference Visa, please visit the official Government of India website:

Check Indian Visa Requirements (official government website)

Given the limited time remaining before FIDIC GIC 2026, we recommend that eligible participants apply for an Indian e-Business Visa, where permitted by the Government of India, rather than the e-Conference Visa route.

Visa Types

For eligible participants attending FIDIC GIC 2026, the e-Business Visa is currently the recommended option, given the limited time remaining before the conference. The conference organisers will issue your invitation letter upon completion and payment of your registration.

Typical requirements may include:

✔ A valid passport with at least six months' validity from the date of arrival and the required number of blank pages
✔ Completed online visa application form
✔ Recent passport-size photograph
✔ Scanned copy of your passport information page
✔ Proof of travel arrangements, where required
✔ Hotel/accommodation details, where required
✔ An appropriate business invitation/supporting letter, where required
✔ Any additional documents requested by the Government of India
✔ Visa application fee, where applicable

Important: Visa requirements and eligibility vary by nationality and may change. Please refer to the official Government of India visa website for the most up-to-date requirements.

Request a Visa Invitation Letter

If you require supporting documentation for your e-Business Visa application, please ensure that your visa requirements are clearly indicated when completing your conference registration. Once your registration and required participant details have been received and payment has been made, the relevant supporting invitation documentation can be prepared.

Please register as soon as possible. Given the limited time remaining before the conference, early submission of your registration and passport details is important to allow sufficient time for the visa application process.

The FIDIC invitation/supporting letter confirms your participation in the conference and/or related activities. It does not guarantee visa approval. The decision to issue a visa rests solely with the relevant Indian authorities. Participants are responsible for checking their eligibility, submitting their visa application and obtaining the appropriate visa before travelling to India.

Visa for Accompanying Spouses

All accompanying spouses must obtain an individual visa to travel to India. Spouses who are not registered conference participants and intend to attend only social or informal events associated with the conference should apply for a Tourist Visa. Conference Visas are issued strictly for official participants (delegates, speakers, etc.), and cannot be extended to accompanying persons.
