How a collective industry voice makes change happen. Highlighting MA best practice and making a difference
Description

This best practice webinar, organised by the FIDIC Directors and Secretaries Advisory Council (DNSAC), has been organised to highlight some of the successful initiatives being undertaken by FIDIC’s global member associations which are making a positive difference to member firms in their local area and the wider industry.

This webinar will highlight some of the best practice success stories of FIDIC member associations and how these have benefited MA member firms and the wider industry. Attendees will be able to learn from these best practice initiatives and how they were undertaken to take these learnings back into their own MAs.

FIDIC’s MAs are involved in a wide range of activities in their geographical regions which bring the industry together around common issues and to address key challenges. This webinar will highlight some of these with a view to sharing that learning amongst attendees so that they can be inspired and encouraged to undertake similar initiatives in their areas, including for regions with less well-resourced MAs.

The webinar will also look at the benefits for member consulting engineering firms from getting involved with their MA’s work.

The webinar, which will be moderated by Helen Davidson, CEO of ACE New Zealand, will highlight a number of best practice success stories through the experiences of FIDIC member associations from Australia, Kenya, Germany and Jordan and show how these have benefited MA member firms and the wider industry. Speakers at the event are Sascha Steuer, director of the Verband Beratender Ingenieure (VBI), FIDIC’s member association in Germany, Jonathan Cartledge, CEO of Consult Australia, and Jane Mutulili, chair of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya.
