Asset owners, clients, funders and investors are becoming much more focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues as they increasingly apply these non-financial factors as part of their analysis process to identify material risks and growth opportunities. As a result, the industry needs to make significant progress on decarbonisation, biodiversity and overall sustainability. This session will look at how clients, civic society, funders’ expectations of consultants in driving net zero in infrastructure and identify how the need to address climate change will alter our design assumptions and approach to risk in design.
